Fixed Versus Variable Disclaimer

Fixed versus Variable (FVV) disclaimer, disclosure and etcetera – By Stuart Hardiman

If you read material associated with this blog, or view any part of it, in any possible way – the following always applies, unless we decide it does not.

Fixed Versus Variable is owned and operated by Markie Mills Pty Ltd as trustee for the Markie Mills family trust. This blog operates solely under the jurisdiction of the courts and laws of Victoria, Australia.

Where FVV is mentioned in this disclaimer, FVV also covers all staff, managers and entities related to, or working for FVV, unless we decide it does not cover them.

The main blogger, Mark Boulton, is not an economist or accountant or financial planner, and does not have a huge body of resources for checking facts and data – so there is no guarantee or warranty implied or otherwise that the information in this blog is reliable or correct.

However . . . we do pretty much guarantee and warrant that any forecast of future interest rates will be wrong.

Mark Boulton is not a financial planner and nothing in this blog is intended as financial advice. Before acting on any information in this blog, it is essential that you receive independent financial advice. Do your own research.

Mark Boulton is not a journalist. However he probably fantasises about being mistaken as one!

Mark Boulton doesn’t have any IT qualifications. If you think he is an expert on information security – think again. However he says he will do all the usual stuff to keep the blog safe, secure and backed up, and will try not to stuff it up.

We probably haven’t read the rules of running a blog, or of running any enterprise at all, if there happen to be any. However we prefer sticking to any rules that apply, when we know about them.

Nobody can predict the future! Anybody (such as Mark Boulton) can make stuff up, and probably has or will!

FVV does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence.

FVV is a publication – a quality publication apparently!

A lot of financial products have product disclosure statements, and other written material supplied by the product provider. You should read and understand every word of this stuff.

Any advertisers on FVV are responsible for everything to do with their product or services, and the promotion of their products and services, without exception. Any promotion or advertisement or sponsored content should be highlighted as such. However FVV offers no warranty or guarantee that oversights and mistakes will not occur. FVV does not aim to confuse anybody on this matter.

All comments, links, and decipherable information from external parties are independent of FVV. FVV aims to remove comments it regards as unsavoury, but cannot guarantee this can always be done in a timely fashion, or that these comments will be recognized as such by FVV.

If FVV can make income from this blog then it may well do so. However FVV aims not to be too annoying in the way it may take advantage of revenue raising opportunities, as we want you to keep reading. We’ll not be accepting commissions or fees for services in providing financial products, other than via advertising (hopefully).

FVV reserves all naming rights, and rights to all of the work on this blog. If information is disseminated from this blog, it must not be modified. Modifying includes removing advertisements and identifying markers for the source of the information. All information disseminated from this blog must be attributed to fixedversusvariable.com.au.

Any use of information from FVV that is aimed at damaging FVV, or short-changing FVV, or causing harm to any person or entity etc at all is not permitted. However we will not spend money on legalities regarding this point, unless we want to.

Any other disclaimer that is commonly seen in similar businesses or blogs applies to FVV as well.

FVV neither makes nor implies any warranty or guarantee whatsoever to anybody or entity or organization, or “insert definition of any group of usually-literate beings here”.

FVV is an extremely tiny enterprise. If you think we are influential, or pulling any strings in governments behind the scenes, or planning an alien invasion, or part of any conspiracy at all – you are very mistaken. If we ever start planning an alien invasion we’ll remove that bit from this clause – then watch out!

This disclaimer has not had the involvement of a legally trained person. FVV reserves the right to amend, or add to all “writings” in this disclaimer to cover any legal gaps, unconditionally.

Any disclaimers that typically apply to other similar businesses that are not covered here explicitly are implied anyway by this clause you are currently reading.

If anything about FVV makes you angry, annoyed, uncomfortable, or produces any negative feelings – please let us know. It may be able to be dealt with, and thereby reduce the level of suffering. We don’t like anybody suffering at all.

If you have any other clauses we should consider adding . . . please comment . . . we’d love some more disclaimer clauses.

See . . . what rates might be worth fixing at?
